The reconstruction of the mosques in Tacloban and Ormoc cities which were damaged due to Typhoon Yolanda in 2013 were recently completed by “Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı” in cooperation with the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.
Consequently, the opening ceremony of Tacloban City Mosque and Cultural Centre took place on June 2 in Tacloban. A delegation from Turkey came in the Philippines to participate in the said ceremony and held a Ramadan Programme in the aftermath.
