TV5 airs live papal visit on LED billboards nationwide


With the entire country’s preparations already in full-swing as Pope Francis is set to arrive ian a matter of days, TV5 takes its commitment of giving Filipinos an extensive and unforgettable Papal visit experience to even greater heights with its latest, unprecedented and ultimately game-changing innovation.

For the first time, and in close partnership with the country’s leading wireless service provider, Smart, together with Cignal, the Philippines’ premier DTH satellite provider, TV5 will be airing its live television coverage of the Papal visit on several LED billboards all over Metro Manila, as well as in Cebu and Davao.

With this one-of-a-kind development, from January 16 to 19, Filipinos from all walks of life and from all over the country will be able to keep themselves closely updated on Pope Francis’ itinerary and will have complete access to an extensive Papal visit coverage as seen on live television via TV5 when they pass by select LED billboards in some of the country’s busiest streets, whether they be in the metropolis or in the province.

Hand-in-hand with Smart and Cignal, TV5 will be unveiling this unique papal visit experience through the following LED billboards nationwide: along EDSA-Connecticut Avenue, Shell Station in Magallanes (SLEX) , C5-Bagong Ilog Flyover, Morayta-University Belt (Espana Boulevard corner P. Paredes Street), Mango Avenue in Cebu (in front of Mango Square), and along JP Laurel Street in Bajada, Davao.
