BAGUIO CITY: Two categories for the Grand Float Parade will be introduced this year for the annual staging of the Panagbenga Festival, according to the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Inc. (BFFFI). Anthony De Leon, BFFFI co-chairman said, they are innovating the competitions of the float competitions with the introduction of the small and big categories of the floats. For the small floats category, floats must have a minimum dimension of five feet in height and five feet in width up to a maximum of eight feet in height and eight feet in width. The street size and overpass height along the parade route makes this requirement necessary. For big floats category, floats must have a minimum dimension of ten feet in height and ten feet in width with a maximum of twelve feet in height and twelve feet in width. De Leon said all floats must at least be 90-percent decorated with natural materials and vegetation as part of the judging criteria.
