Two dead in Cavite road mishaps


Two persons were killed in two separate road mishaps on Sunday in Rosario and Imus City in Cavite province.

According to Cavite Provincial Police Director Eliseo Dela Cruz, a motorcycle with three riders crashed into a concrete post and hit a parked tricycle along General Trias drive in Rosario. The three riders were rushed to the Our Savior Hospital but Cleofas Artates, 19 years old and the one driving the motorcycle, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. His passengers, who were identified as Alvin Alapaap, 21, and Harjohn Tadiaque, sustained head injuries and were transferred to the Divine Grace Medical Center.

Meanwhile at Imus City, Marlon Dante Colidas, 21, a resident of Cabuyao, Laguna, was crossing Aguinaldo Highway in Imus City when he was hit by Blessed Grace Passenger Bus with plate number DYA-430 driven by Allan Estero Almacen. Because of the strong impact, the victim’s body was thrown to the other side of the highway and was hit and run by a Jasper passenger bus with plate number TYJ-382 driven by Niño Longabela Hernandez.

The victim was dead on the spot and the two bus drivers are now under the custody of Imus Community Police Station.
