Two drug suspects were killed in an encounter with anti-drug operatives of the Station Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group of Anonas Police Station 9 early Sunday.
Quezon City Police District Director Senior Supt. A buy-bust was conducted against the two suspects who arrived on a blue motorcycle. A police officer posed as a buyer.
During the transaction, the suspects sensed they were dealing with police and pulled out their guns, prompting the operatives to retaliate.
The two wounded suspects were rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center but were declared dead on arrival.
Recovered from the scene were the blue Honda Wave 125 motorcycle with plate number ZN-6403, one caliber .45 Colt MKIV with serial number 621741 and loaded with six live bullets, one caliber .38 Smith and Wesson revolver loaded with four live bullets and without a serial number, two 9mm fired cartridge cases, one caliber .45 fired cartridge case, one red ball cap and the buy-bust money.
Hospital authorities recovered three heat-sealed sachets of shabu from Esguerra’s short pants and another heat-sealed sachet of shabu from the unidentified suspect.
