GMA Network is set to air two hit Asianovelas on Easter Monday, April 21. These are My Love from the Star and Mischievous Kiss, from Korea and Japan respectively.
Following the success of the popular Koreanovela series Endless Love and Full House, GMA Network will carry South Korea’s top rating 2014 series My Love from the Star, a rom-com/sci-fi featuring Kim Soo Hyun, who plays a cold-hearted alien that falls in love with a self-centered but loveable actress portrayed by Jeon Ji Hyun.
Meanwhile, Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo is a Japanese adaptation of a popular love story based on a manga (comic book) of the same title, which also has live action versions in Taiwan and Korea. Previously produced as an anime, the story revolves around the lives of Kasey (Miki Honoka), a not-so-smart girl who secretly likes the school’s campus heartthrob Niccolo (Yuri Furukawa) at Tonan High School. Kasey and Niccolo’s lives will take an interesting turn when they find out that their fathers are best friends.
The back-to-back pilot episodes of these Asianovelas will air tomorrow night right after The Borrowed Wife.
