POLICE arrested two suspected illegal loggers while in the act of cutting timber in a forest in Iriga City,Camrines Sur on Saturday. Provincial police chief Senior Supt. Primo Golingay identified the suspects as Eddie Oliva, 54, and Edwin Ilano, 40, both residents of Z-2 district in San Nicolas village. The two were caught cutting G-melina trees in a forested area at Z-3 district in Sto. Domingo. Reports said the police received a phone call from Iriga City Mayor Ronald Felix Alfelor about illegal logging activities in San Nicolas. Seized from the suspects were a chainsaw, 45 pieces of assorted type of lumbers and a fletch of G-melina tree.
