TWO MARINES WOUNDED IN AMBUSH IN PALAWAN

TWO marine troopers were wounded after their truck was attacked by a still unknown number of suspected communist rebels early Monday in a remote village in Taytay, Palawan, police reports said. Reports at the Philippine National Police operations center in Camp Crame identified the wounded marines as First Lt. Rodelito Ramos and Private First Class Marvin Montebon, both are members of the Marine Battalion Landing Team 4. The reports said the incident occurred at around 9:30 a.m. on Monday at Km 38 of Sitio Ebangley, Barangay Abongan, Taytay of said province.
