BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya: The two most wanted persons in Ilocos Norte were finally caught by the Philippine National Police operatives, reports said. Number 8 in Ilocos Norte’s list of wanted persons, Jonel Soriano was arrested Tuesday by joint local and Camp Crame-based police operatives in Isabela province where he had been hiding for years. A native of Pasuquin town in Ilocos Norte, Soriano is facing a murder case before the Ilocos Norte Regional Trial Court (RTC). Soriano is now detained at the provincial jail in Laoag City. Another wanted person in Ilocos Norte identified as Jesus Mercado, 49, a construction worker, was arrested by the Pasuquin police in Barangay 6 of the same town. Before his arrest, Mercado has a pending warrant issued by Judge Rosemarie Ramos of RTC Branch 19 in Bangui, Ilocos Norte for rape charges.
