TWO officials of the National Food Authority (NFA) in Agusan del Sur are facing criminal charges over the missing 1,600 sacks of rice at the NFA warehouse in Bayugan City. Provincial manager Gil Tabor and warehouse supervisor Melvin Pacana will be charged with malversation of public funds and graft. The missing sacks were discovered during an inventory conducted from July 18-22. During the investigation, the two admitted having conspired to taking the sacks out of the warehouse and bringing these Catalunan Grande, Davao City. Police are still probing the possible involvement of truck owners in hauling the rice to Davao City.
