Two oil firms set to raise gas prices

INDEPENDENT oil companies Flying V and Eastern Petroleum on Sunday announced that they are set to raise prices of gasoline by 20 centavos per liter.

They, however, will reduce prices of diesel and kerosene by 20 centavos per liter.

Flying V’s price adjustment will take effect at 12:01 a.m., Monday, and Eastern Petroleum, at 12:01 a.m., Tuesday.

Last week, oil firms reduced pump prices due to movement of crude in the international market.

Pilipinas Shell, Petron Corp., Chevron, PTT Philippines, Phoenix Petroleum and Eastern Petroleum on September 16 rolled back prices of diesel by 70 centavos per liter.

This is the third consecutive time that oil companies reduced diesel prices after they slashed prices by 25 centavos per liter on September 9.
