Two Tibetans set themselves on fire

BEIJING: Two Tibetan monks in China have set themselves on fire to protest at a 2008 crackdown. Lobsang Palden carried out the act on Sunday on “Heroes Street” in Aba county of Sichuan province, said the British-based advocacy organization Free Tibet and the United States outlet Radio Free Asia (RFA). A monk from the Shaderi Monastery also set himself alight the same day in the Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai province.
