DAGUPAN CITY: Typhoon "Lando" unleashed powerful winds but only little rains as it raced across Pangasinan since 3 a.m. on Sunday, uprooting trees, sending galvanized iron sheets flying and causing power outage in 80 percent of the franchised areas of the Dagupan Electric Corporation (Decorp).

With winds virtually whistling through, many residents cowered in fear in their respective homes as they braced for the worst, sans electricity but fortunately there was little water coming out of their faucets courtesy of the Dagupan Water District and phone had not conked out.
