Adamson University snapped a six-game losing streak by keeping University of the Philippines winless in 10 games in UAAP men’s basketball Saturday.
The Falcons fashioned out a 67-53 victory behind Nigerian Ingrid Sewa’s monster game of career-high 18 points and 15 rebounds along with three blocks.
Adamson also drew 17 points from Roider Cabrera and 16 points from playmaker Jensen Rios to improve to a 4-win 8-loss slate.
Sewa nailed a three-point play in the last three minutes to give Adamson a 66-51 lead and never looked back to seal the win.
After the game, Adamson head coach Leo Austria announced he is planning not to return next season.
“I think this will be my last season with the UAAP. I want them (Adamson) to have a change,” said Austria, whose contract expires on October 31.
