BAGUIO CITY: Two United Arab Emirates (UAE) tourists were arrested by Baguio policemen on Tuesday afternoon inside a hotel at Camp John Hay after allegedly plying two young girls with alcohol and for raping them. Sr. Supt. George Daskeo, Baguio Police director, said Abderrahman Mohamed Rashid and Waleed Shamlan Alshuweihi brought the two girls from Manila supposedly as tourist guides and checked in at The Manor Hotel. Investigators said the two foreigners allegedly forced the victims to drink wine and then Alshuweihi raped them. The manager of the hotel reported the incident to the police, prompting Daskeo and a team of policemen and social welfare officers to head to the hotel. Daskeo said they recovered marijuana leaves from the two suspects, who were brought to the Baguio City Jail and are facing charges for trafficking in persons.
