STA. Cruz, Laguna: Sprinter Jomar Udtohan of San Sebastian College-Manila, archer Mary Queen Ybañez of La Union and swimmer Maurice Sacho Illustre emerged as the most bemedaled athletes in the 57th Palarong Pambansa that ended on Saturday at the Laguna Sports Complex in Barangay Bubukal here.

The 17-year-old Bulacan-native Udtohan, representing National Capital Region (NCR), ended his last Palaro campaign with record-breaking wins in the 4x100-m relay (43.1-seconds) and 4x400-m relay (3:22.1-secs). He garnered five gold medals and established five new records in athletics. He also broke the record in the boys’ 400-m dash (49.4 seconds), 100 meters dash (10.8 seconds) and 200 meters dash (21.8 seconds).
