United Football League (UFL) action resumes on Saturday with the second round of games of its 2016 season at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.

After a mid-season break to give way to the league’s All-Star games and the friendlies against Australian club Perth Glory FC, the country’s top football tournament returns with a double-header featuring the clash between Loyola Meralco Sparks FC and Forza FC at 1:30 p.m. as well as the Kaya FC and JP Voltes FC match at 4 p.m.

Kaya, currently No.5 with seven wins and four defeats, will be depending on the frontline duo of British Louis Clark and Senegalese Robert Lopez Mendy.

On the other hand, former second division club JP Voltes with eight wins, a draw and two losses is occupying the third spot.

Playing coach Yu Hoshide’s wards are expected to rely on the skills of Japanese League second division veteran Takumi Uesato to lead their attacks against the tall back-line of their rivals.

In their previous meeting, JP Voltes won 3-1 over Kaya through the brace of Uesato, which included a centerline chip over goalkeeper Matthew Acton.

The Sparks are currently No.4 with eight victories and three losses while Forza are No.8 with three wins, a draw and seven defeats.
