• UK brings educ and training institutions in Manila


    Six education and training institutions will arrive in Manila from the United Kingdom on Friday (February 14) for the Conference on UK Higher Education and Corporate Training organized by the UK Trade and Investment for the five-month celebration of “This Is Great Britain.”

    According to a statement from the British Embassy in Manila, the event will feature speakers from education and training companies in the UK to inform the attendees of the various opportunities that may be open for them in the country.

    The companies who will participate in the event are the Consulting Tools,CH Training, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Training Getaway, Tribal Education and the Northumbria University.

    These education and training institutions will bring knowledge about human resource assessment tools, health and safety consultancy services, accounting and finance practitioners, educational partnerships, education software for business schools and undergraduate and postgraduate opportunities in the UK.

    Northumbria University is looking for local partners in the academe. They hope to meet government officials, local universities and companies to discuss the opportunities of seeking educational programs in the UK.

    Meanwhile, the British Council Philippines’ Education UK Exhibition will bring 18 academic institutions in the country to increase the awareness of the Filipinos regarding opportunities for overseas education.

    These schools are Cambridge Education Group, Hult International Business School, London School of Commerce, Northumbria University, Study Group, University Of Bedfordshire, University Of Kent, University Of Northampton, University Of Reading Malaysia, University Of South Wales, University Of Sunderland, University Of The Arts London, University Of Warwick, University Of West London, and first time Philippine exhibitors City University London, Richmond The American International University In London, Staffordshire University and the University of Wolverhampton.

    Other schools looking for local partners are the City University London, the International Study Centers UK and Europe, the London School of Commerce, the Richmond University, the Staffordshire University, the University of Sunderland, the University of Warwick, the University of Wolverhampton, the
    University of Bedfordshire and the University of South Wales.

    Both events are part of “This Is Great Britain,” a five-month celebration of all that is best about the UK and its partnership with the Philippines.
