• Ultra bus to pay P3M fine

Bus operator United Land Transport was fined P3 million by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for operating without special permit last December. During the Christmas holidays last year the LTFRB required bus operators to secure special bus permits that will allow them to operate during the season. LTFRB board member Antonio Enrile-Inton said three units of ULTRA buses were found operating without a special permit last year when the transportation regulatory board held inspections. Another bus line, Wega Transport Corporation, was penalized for P1 million for operating outside its route that constitutes colorum operation.
