• UN: CONFLICT, POOR INFRA HINDER MINDANAO

    CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: The continued armed rebellion and the lack of vital infrastructures remain the major factors why the quality of life in nine Mindanao provinces is still the country’s worst, a report released by the United Nation’s Philippine Human Development (UNPHD) said on Friday. The United Nation’s Philippine Human Development Report said that this indicates that conflict and poverty were intertwined in Asia’s fastest growing economy. In its latest report, the UNPHD said that most of the 10 lowest-ranked provinces in the Philippines are conflict-ridden.
