The head of the United Nations refugee agency on Tuesday underscored the need for more accommodations on the Greek mainland to help improve conditions at reception centers on the Greek islands.

The effort is one of eight recommendations eight recommendations issued by the UN refugee agency to move from an emergency response to longer-term sustainability where asylum-seekers and refugees have access to care and support.
