Airport authorities confiscated a black trolley bag that was being transferred to Manila from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates after they found it contained two disassembled firearms. The authorities found two .44 caliber revolver, two pieces barrel cleaner, and a caliber .357 empty shell when the bag passed through the x-ray machine. The unaccompanied luggage arrived at the NAIA Terminal 1 on Tuesday via Etihad Airways flight EY428. Authorities also found out that the owner was a certain Rungthiwa Smeets who was already in Thailand. Interline baggage personnel who handle delayed baggage said the trolley bag has an Abu Dhabi-Manila-Bangkok airline tag. The guns are already in the custody of PNP-Aviation Security Group for proper disposition.
