THE United Nations Industrial Development Organization (Unido) has launched its first country program for the Philippines on the occasion of a visit by the UN agency’s chief, the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) said on Friday.

“The country program is proof of Unido’s continuing support for the Philippines and our common desire to achieve inclusive and environmentally sustainable growth that will benefit all parts of society, with all people being given equal opportunities for prosperity,” Unido Director-General Li Yong was quoted as saying in a joint statement.
