Unity key to progress – Marcos

BATAC CITY, Ilocos Norte: Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. vowed to put an end to political divisions that he said had hindered the full development of the country during a kick-off rally for his vice presidential bid on Tuesday here.

“Kaya dito ko sinisimulan ang aking kampanya dahil naipakita ng ating mga kababayang Ilokano ang pagkakaisa. Ang Solid North! Ito ang tumulong sa atin, ito ang nagpakita na maaaring magkaisa kaya hindi lamang dapat Solid North kundi dapat ang pagkakaisa natin ay sa ating buong sambayanan [The reason why I started my campaign here is that my fellow Ilocanos showed unity. Solid North! This helped us, this showed us that we can be united but it should not be limited to the Solid North, our unity should be nationwide],” Marcos told his supporters.

Batac is the birthplace of late former President Ferdinand Marcos, father of the vice presidential bet.

The younger Marcos said the country’s leaders should have one vision and a concrete plan to help the poor.

“Itong politics of division na kanya-kanya, na kampihan. Kung hindi ka namin kasama, kaaway ka namin. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit madami tayong problema ngayon sa kahirapan, trabaho, kalusugan at iba pa kaya dapat magkaisa tayo upang magagawa natin tulungan ang isa’t-isa [This politics of division, of taking sides, gave birth to the idea of if you’re not with us, you’re against us. This is the reason why we have problems on poverty and unemployment], ” he noted.

With Marcos was presidential candidate Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, who had “adopted” him as her running mate.

It was the first time that the two were seen together in public.

At the Marcos State University, Santiago enumerated the qualities of a good leader–integrity, passion, initiative and vision–which she said are in the blood of Marcos.

Marcos, author of the law that created the National Youth Commission, said he and Santiago will bare their line-up of senatorial bets soon, many of whom are also “adopted.”

To all Ilokano voters: Please do not listen to Enrile. Remember that Enrile and Binay are the traitors of the Marcos family. In other words, DO NOT vote for Binay.
Binay will promise all the impossible things for he knows that if he will not win the presidential elections, he will go to jail because of his corrupt wealth in the billions of dollars hidden in Canada. How can you eliminate the income tax when it is here where the whole Binay family got their wealth? The Binay family made billions of pesos/dollars and cheated their income tax returns. The whole family at the end of six months will be jailed by either Santiago or Roxas. Binay chose his kickoff speech before slum dwellers in Welfareville Compound in Mandaluyong because this is the group that he gave a can of sardines, a liter of rice, a soup, P500 and a Jollibee dinner in return for their votes. Binay thought that they are the bobotantes who sell their votes for what they received during this occasion. Let us continue to pray to save the Philippines from the corrupt Binay family.

Watch out readers: This will soon be deleted by the columnist or MT because they don’t want anything negative about the corrupt Binay family
