University of the East (UE) wants a controversy-free season when it hosts the 77th edition of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) beginning July 12, at the Araneta Coliseum.

“UE would like to express how proud and happy we are to host the upcoming season. We will try our best to make next season a successful and, I pray, without any controversies,” said incoming UAAP President Carmelita Mateo during the turnover ceremony on Wednesday at the Century Park Hotel in Manila.
