Unmask the culprits in Mamasapano Massacre

Malacañang and Noynoy Aquino’s cronies are desperately scrambling to muddle up the news scene and issues surrounding the Mamasapano Massacre, which the Senate committee headed by Sen. Grace Poe is poised to reopen Wednesday next week.

For one, they are running full blast their press releases mill to discredit Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile, who had requested the continuation of the inquiry into culpability of the President, the Cabinet and the military officials he was with.

Senator Serge Osmeña, Noynoy’s ally, has dismissed Enrile’s move as mere politics meant to hurt the chances of administration standard-bearer Mar Roxas in the May 2016 elections.

Incidentally, the Sandiganbayan has pressed on with the plunder case against Gigi Reyes, former aide and believed to be Enrile’s powerful mistress.

Expect again Malacañang’s propaganda mill to ensure full coverage of the trial, to divert public attention.

But this should instead accentuate the fact that justice has not been served in the case of the slaughter of 44 Special Action Force (SAF 44) police commandos in Mamasapano on January 25 last year.

Attaining justice that is being denied through whitewash and cover-up remains the main issue in this case and not Enrile or whoever wants it reopened.

In the first place, it was the Palace itself that suggested coming up with a version of an “alternative truth” that would have completely assigned the blame on the SAF 44 for their own horrific death in the hands of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

That merely added insult to the aggravation of the widowed SAF 44 families.
It is time that whole unaltered truth is told.

It is time that Noynoy himself face the Senate hearing, in the same way that they had asked Vice President Jojo Binay to answer questions without the aid of a script.

It is also time that Mar Roxas, the secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at the time, must answer for his culpability for gross negligence, incompetence and inefficiency in the performance of duties, as well as dishonesty and disloyalty.

This darkest day in the history of the Philippine National Police occured under Roxas watch as DILG chief and National Police Commission chairman.

Tama na ang pagsisinungaling, pagtatakip at paninisi sa iba!

Who can forget the wholesale deception that we were subjected to amid national mourning for 44 promising police officers, who were sent on a suicide mission just to fulfill the President’s self-aggrandizement.

He ordered and authorized suspended police director-general Alan Purisima to launch Oplan Exodus, which was based on a repeatedly failed plan to kill bomb maker Zulkifli bin Hir alias Marwan.

Note that they implemented the ill-designed mission just five days after visit of His Holiness Pope Francis, which inevitably highlighted the government’s failure to rehabilitate the life of Typhoon Yolanda survivors in Leyte.

The euphoria that lingered days after the Pope said goodbye was shattered by the horrors of the Mamasapano killing fields.

Months after the Senate, House, PNP, Department of Justice and Ombudsman investigations, not a single individual has been charged or arrested.

I say bring about the complete unadulterated truth!

Unmask the culprits!

  1. Mr. Tulfo, pls Sir render a great service to the Filipino people during the Mamasapano hearings by helping make sure that TV5 cover it live. ABS-CBN and GMA 7 will almost surely (like 99.995%) ignore it. These members of the PYBS or the Philippine Yellow Broadcasting System (also, Puro Yaring Balita System) will not cover it.

  2. The DOJ under the aegis of former DALDAL de lima had promised to file cases to those involved in the massacre of SAF 44 in a vain attempt to assuage the anger of the naive general public and the next of kin of those slain in particular But as of this date, no single case had been filed. Do the public really believes the fulfillment of the promise of de lima? They had hoped but in their minds the promise is like a punch on the moon….

  3. We welcome Sen. Enrile to open this case, It is about time that real questions be asked.
It is important to protect the Integrity of our Military Men and its Institution. This BSAquino has to answer for the massacre of the 44 SAF soldiers.

Osmena’s words are a disgrace to our countrymen . There will never be any closure until BSAquino and Roxas answers their grave responsibility to this country . Enough with their excuses, this is not about politics , Justice must be served .

  4. I have heard and seen a PMA 1971 graduate comment as a PAF plane flew by ( near PMA in Baguio..” Why did you desert us…?” This was in 1stQ of 2015.
And this Cavalier served in the ARMY !

  5. jose b. taganahan on

There is no question that this idiot President, BS (bullshit) Aquino lll, as commander in chief, is responsible for the death of 44 SAF members lead by their incompetent and overly ambitious SAF commander Napenas.

But just John F. Kennedy was not prosecuted/indicter for the bay of pigs invasion of Cuba which resulted in the death of 191 American, wounding hundreds more and capture of more than 1200 Americans, I don’t think Aquino will also be indicted in the Mamasapano massacre.

    • Napenas plan fell apart when the military and the police were ordered to stand down by someone, since the only person that could order that is Aquino i am going to have conclude Aquino ordered the support units to stand down and leave the SAF 44 to their fate.

Why did Aquino order a stand down ? To protect his peace plan ? Someone should question BBL negotiator Deles as to if she advised Aquino to stand down.
Did Aquino think the murdering MILF would just capture the police and hold them as prisoners ?

Aquino, Roxas, Gazmn, Purisima and Gen. Catapang have a lot to answer for,
The question is will anyone make them.

  6. The well known cowardice of Pnoy Aquino will be exposed, and the weakness of his echo chamber Mar Roxas. The combination of Tweedledum and Tweedledee ensured that Mamasapano was a suicide mission.

Even the doyen of LP propaganda, Raissa Robles describes Mar Roxas as “indecisive”, “vascillating”, ‘a technocrat not a leader’, and underlines his aloof bearing and lack of the common touch. ‘A reluctant politician unsuitable for high office’

Politically, Mar Roxas is a ‘dead man panicking’
Morally, Mar Roxas is a ‘hypocritical trapo lying’

And Pnoy Aquino is no doubt spending most of the day on the toilet worrying about imprisonment. Karma.
At least he may get a ‘love life’ in prison.

    • The two cases are very much different. JFK’s intention was to save his country from the Soviet’s missile build up in Cuba. Ngoyngoy’s was for him to get a medal from the Nobel Prize Committee.

    • Well he can indeed have a one-of-a-kind love life in jail. He can embrace and caress as many prison bars as he wants every minute.

    • Burgis Batoktoy on

Pnoy love and like to live behind bars maraming brusko doon at tiyak mag i-enjoy siya to his bones.
