At least 42 have died while 33 others were reported missing on Monday after Tropical Depression “Urduja” (international name: Kai-Tak) dumped heavy rains on Eastern Visayas over the weekend.

The police regional office in Eastern Visayas said 28 were recorded dead in the province of Biliran, the area most affected by Urduja, which was downgraded from a tropical storm on Sunday.
