UNITED NATIONS: The United States (US) and Russia agreed a draft United Nations (UN) Security Council resolution on Thursday (Friday in Manila) on destroying Syria’s chemical weapons, breaking a prolonged deadlock over the country’s bitter conflict.
After the 15-member council held its first talks on the text, diplomats said a vote would be held on Friday with foreign ministers from the major powers taking part.
