After handing Fuego Espana FC a 7-0 beating in their initial outing on November 12, the Lady Tigresses notch their second straight win in the tournament.

Charissa Lemoran, who registered a hat trick performance in their last time out, once again starred for the Thomasian ladies with a five-goal effort against Kaya.

Christelle Cleofe started the scoring frenzy for UST in the third minute followed by another strike in the 63rd minute to complete her brace performance.

Hazel Lustan also made her presence felt in the match with a goal of her own in the 30th minute to place her club ahead, 6-0, going into the midgame intermission.

Kaya FC refused to end the game without leaving a mark on their opponents’ scorecard as Glynnes Dela Cruz sank the only goal of their club from the penalty spot in the 59th minute.

With the win, UST tightened their grip on the top spot of the rankings early in the preliminary round of the competition with two straight wins and six points.

On the other hand, Women’s League rookies Kaya FC are still on the run to snatch their first win in the tournament following their previous -0-4 loss against Hiraya FC on November 13.

Meanwhile, youth national team star Lindsay Whaley headlined for Outkast FC in their 2-0 rout of reigning collegiate women’s champions University of the Philippines (UP).

Outkast bounced back from their scoreless stalemate against titleholders Far Eastern University to take their share of the winners’ column.

During the game, Whaley quickly established her dominance on the pitch in the first half of their heated affair after leaving her markers in the fifth minute to take a shot on goal.

The Lady Maroons retaliated throughout the match but were unlucky as problems continued for their side as their defense accidentally tapped the ball to their own goal in the 74th minute.

After the game, both Outkast and UP settle for a record of a win and a loss in the early round of the country’s top women’s football competition.
