The United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) supported the launch of a specialized training program for aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicles the country’s aviation regulator procured from Oshkosh Corporation. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said on Monday that the USTDA has signed a cooperation agreement with them in support with the country’s aviation emergency response during the 2015 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation [APEC] Summit. “We are pleased to support this advanced training, which will give CAAP personnel the skills they need to be able to operate and maintain these state-of-the-art Oshkosh vehicles,” USTDA Director Leocadia I. Zak said.
