The Visegrád 4 (V4) group is the alliance of the four central European countries namely the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Hungary, and Poland, It aims to strengthen cooperation not only among each other, but also with countries all over the world.

Among the programs being intensely implemented is the promotion of Central Europe as a viable tourist destination for countries in Southeast Asia.

To achieve this goal, the four nations led by Czech Republic, which holds V4 Presidency this year, staged the “Discover Central Europe” roadshow 2015 Manila leg on October 22.

The roadshow featured seminar hosted by officials from V4 tourism organizations and a B2B session. Overall, the event attracted over 100 representatives from travel agencies across the Philippines that are looking to expand their tour offerings to include the 4 central European countries.

A reception to celebrate this successful project was held thereafter. There, Czech Ambassador Olša—the only resident ambassador from the V4 member countries—expressed his hope that this could spark a more intensive tourism interaction between V4 countries and the Philippines.
