Reigning Most Valuable Player (MVP) Alyssa Valdez of Ateneo de Manila University and former MVP Ara Galang of De La Salle University lead the statistics in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines Season 77 women’s volleyball tournament.
Valdez is leading the spiking department with 45.33 efficiency rate and service with an average of 0.83 per set.
Galang, on the other hand, is the league’s top scorer with 105 total points and ranked fourth in the attack line with 37.79 accuracy rate.
La Salle’s Mika Aereen Reyes and Adamson University’s Mylene Paat are currently the best blockers with 1.00 average denial per set while Ateneo’s Julia Morado grabbed the top spot in the setting department with 10.60 successful plays per set.
Marlene Cortel of Adamson and Ella De Jesus of Ateneo are the best digger and best receiver, respectively.
La Salle is on top of the standings with a clean 5-0 slate followed by defending champion Ateneo (4-0), Adamson (3-2), Far Easter University (3-3), University of the Philippines (2-3), National University (2-3), University of Santo Tomas (1-4) and University of the East (0-5).
Action resumes on January 4 at The Arena in San Juan City with the Lady Maroons facing the Lady Eagles at 2 p.m. and the Lady Warriors meeting the Lady Spikers at 4 p.m.
