Valenzuela increases taxes in industrial estates

The Valenzuela City government is set to implement new and higher taxes exclusively for industrial real estate properties after more than two decades. “I believe it’s about time to increase the market values of industrial real properties, because it’s exactly 23 years the last time an increase was made and, besides, the city government was already named by the Department of Finances as one of other local government units that did not raise taxes for decades,” Mayor Rex Gatchalian said. The city’s Office of the City Assessor is now following a new schedule of market values for industrial real properties based on Ordinance No. 169, which was passed by the city council and approved by the mayor for implementation.
