Prayers and sympathies for Vhong Navarro flooded the social media after news broke that the ABS-CBN talent was violently attacked on Wednesday in a condominium unit in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
His talent manager, director Chito Roño, on Friday described how Navarro was blindfolded, tied and then beaten up by six men at his female friend’s place. Roño also revealed that the attackers tried to extort money from his talent. The actor-comedian, singer and TV host is gradually recovering but he might need surgery, the director said. Roño said Navarro is able to move and give statements but he is still unwell.
