BOX office star Vice Ganda admitted that he didn’t show up for a supposed party reservation at a Mandaue City bar in Cebu because he had no commitment with the venue.
“Hindi ko talaga sila sinipot dahil wala naman akong commitment sa kanila. Actually they sent me an apology letter [about the whole issue],” the comedian revealed during a contract signing event with Angeline Quinto as Platinum Karaoke ambassadors at Luxent Hotel in Quezon City.
Vice set the story straight by relating how he reserved the venue for a private function the night before his Cebu leg for the Vice Gandang Ganda sa Sarili concert.
“We arrived in Cebu on Saturday [July 18] but my concert would still be on July 19 so we decided to celebrate Rayver Cruz’ birthday [at the bar],” he began.
But upon arriving in Cebu, they learned that Liv’s management printed posters that advertised a “Vice Ganda Live in Liv Super Club” and even sold tickets for a show. ABS-CBN called the bar and questioned their actions because no such agreement transpired between the venue and the artist.
“After that, they sent an apology letter to us,” Vice continued.
Not one to let a snag affect his outlook, the comedian decided to focus on his new endorsement and said he is grateful to be chosen as one of the ambassadors of Platinum Karaoke together with Angeline Quinto.
“Let’s admit it, I’m grateful because of the fee,” he joked then seriously added, “I thought I already had everything in my new house until I got this product. It made our house happier because we always sing while at get-togethers.
Meanwhile, Angeline for her part, “I’m very privileged to be chosen as one of the brand ambassadors with Vice because it’s been my dream to work with him even before entering showbiz.”
