Reality TV searches no longer hold the distinction of basing its ending—the program’s winner, that is—on public voting. Tonight, GMA Network’s top-rating teen series “Meant to Be” will also take its cue from its viewers’ top pick on who among Billie’s (Barbie Forteza) four suitors should win her heart in the finale.
Will it be Jai Patel (Addy Raj), the Indian playboy who fell for Billie and changed his ways to prove his love; Yuan Lee (Ken Chan), the illegitimate son of a wealthy Chinese businessman who used to be arrogant and conceited until he started falling for Billie; Ethan Spencer-Hughes (Ivan Dorschner), the dashing half-British, half-Filipino chef and the most responsible among the four; or Andoy Dela Cruz (Jak Roberto), the nice, torpe, and humble Filipino probinsyano who strives to be successful in life.
With an audience share that grew from strength to strength since Meant to Be premiered in January the network thought it is but right to involve the fans who have ardently followed the program in drawing its conclusion.
The voting via GMA Network’s website ended at 11:59 p.m. Thursday night and lasted for a week. The exciting big reveal takes place on Meant to Be’s conclusion tonight right after the evening newscast.
