Village chief, wife killed in Isabela ambush


A barangay chairman was killed along with his wife after being ambushed by still unidentified gunmen in Barangay Loria, Angadanan town, Isabela Wednesday morning.

Senior Supt. Sotero Ramos Jr., Isabela Provincial Police Office director, identified the fatalities as Barangay captain Arnold Pastor and his wife Lailanie.

Arnold is the head the Association of Barangay Captains in Angadanan town.

The incident took place around 2:55 a.m. as the victims were heading home after attending a wake.

Reports said the Pastors were aboard their silver-colored Toyota Hilux (UPQ-672) when fired upon by the suspects.

The victims died on the spot while the killers immediately made their getaway.

Police are still investigating the case. PNA
