Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) chief Joel Villanueva has obtained the endorsement of President Benigno Aquino 3rd for his possible run for higher office.
In a speech during TESDA’s graduation rites in Pasay City, the president profusely praised Villanueva for his integrity and public service, saying he ought to be given a “bigger job.”
Aquino cited the stories of some TESDA graduates whose lives have improved due to Villanueva’s agency.
He has proven this in TESDA, I am certain that he will also do this if he is given a higher position),” Aquino said.
Villanueva, son of Jesus is Lord movement leader Bro. Eddie Villanueva, earlier admitted that he is considering a Senate run.
Villanueva served three terms in the House of Representatives as partylist congressman for Citizens’ Battle Against Corruption before being appointed in TESDA in 2010.
