ALL Value Holdings Corp., the retail vehicle of the Villar group of companies, is investing about P1.44 billion in 2016 and 2017 to expand its All Day Supermarket chain to 10 outlets by the end of next year.
In a press briefing during the opening of All Day Supermarket in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on Thursday, All Value chairman Manuel B. Villar said they will open a total of five branches this year and another four to five outlets by 2017.
“Each branch may cost us about P180 million or less,” Villar said. He added that a large percentage of their inventory is consigned from suppliers while the site is leased from Vista Malls of sister company Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc.
The 4,500-square-meter Sta. Rosa branch is the third branch and the largest All Day Supermarket to date after two branches in Vista malls in Shaw and Taguig were opened earlier in the year.
Villar said the next one will be opened in Vista Mall Bataan in three days, which will be bigger, with about 5,000 square meters of floor space.
“Our branches are still getting bigger,” he said.
The fifth and last branch to be opened this year will be in Vista City along Daang Hari Road in Las Pinas, which will bring their total floor area to about 20,000 square meters for all five branches.
For next year, Villar said the four to five branches scheduled to be opened will also be located in Vista Malls within Mega Manila.
“All of our supermarkets are successful. The response from consumers is very good. They have an upscale look but the prices are low so they cater to the masses,” Villar said.
“All Day Supermarket has been redefining the grocery shopping experience by offering a wide assortment of goods, bigger floor areas, beautiful store interiors, and loads of new services,” he added.
All Day Supermarkets open at 8 AM. Each store has various sections such as Organic or All Natural Section for wet and organic consumer goods and needs, a food hub called The Gastroville, a Paluto section where customers can request dishes to be cooked however they like it, and a Quick Fix Section for hardware and repair needs.
All Value is the retail holding firm of the Villar group, managing subsidiaries for home decor and furniture stores (All Home), supermarkets (All Day Supermarkets), convenience stores (All Day convenience stores) and coffee shops (The Coffee Project).
