• Villar spreading one-stop home improvement shops across PH

Businessman and former senator Manny Villar is planning to expand his one-stop home improvement shop across the country, with a newly established P1-billion holding firm, All Value Holdings Corp.

Formerly MBV Retail Holdings, All Value will carry all of Villar’s retail brands, including AllHome, its one-stop home improvement shop, which is strategic to his real estate business under the Vista Land and Landscapes Inc.

“AllHome carries preferred construction, furniture and home furnishing brands. Only Vista Land will have its own one-stop shop partner for home furnishings. We want to give all the buyers’ needs so it is important what we are [present]nationwide,” Villar said in an interview with reporters over the weekend.

“This is a perfect fit for Vista Land. This will address the cost to strengthen logistics of Vista Land. They know the need of Vista Land buyers,” he said.

Considered as the largest in the country, the fifth AllHome branch officially opened its doors to consumers on Saturday. Villar led the opening ceremony for the Taguig-based branch.

According to Villar, four more large branches will open this year, some of which will be located in Sta. Rosa in Laguna, Imus, and Daang Hari.

“Next year, we will open a minimum of four [new branches]. If things go well in existing branches, we might build five,” Villar added, specifying that another four AllHome development will be built subsequently in 2016.

Eventually, Villar wants to fast track the development of AllHome, planning to build 6 to 10 annually in few years.

He said the company has identified areas in the Visayas and Mindanao region where he can set up AllHome stores, which will require an investment amount of about P300 million each.

“Next year, we can already move to Vismin because there is demand from contractors where there is Vista Land,” he said.

“We identified 25 to 30 AllHome sites nationwide. It is just a matter of pacing how fast we can finish constructing, and based on our operations in the first two years,” he said.

Included in the All brands are All-Day convenient store, which currently has 75 branches and targets to grow to 100 this year, and All-Day Department Store, which already has five branches. Three other All-Day Department Stores are scheduled to open this year.
