VILLAR family-led real estate firm Vista Land and Lifescapes Inc. has vowed to spend P50 billion in the next five years to develop “Vista City,” a large-scale commercial business district (CBD) project in Las Piñas. Vista Land Chairman Manny Villar told reporters in the Vista City launch and press briefing on Saturday that the project – a 25-year development – is the first of its kind in southern Metro Manila, and will be the flagship project of Vista Land. “This is a 1,500-hectare master-planned community and we have about 500 hectares already developed. A lot of houses are already built, about 45,000 residential units in the area at present,” Villar said, noting the housing units were sold out as of press time. “So we are now developing the remaining 1,000 hectares,” he added. The proposed CBD comprises 250 hectares of medium and high-rise residential and commercial buildings; and a 500-hectare university town that will have schools, universities, hospitals, churches, sports facilities, hotels, and malls.
