Vizcaya, Ifugao move to stop tribal war issue

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya: To put a stop to the brewing tribal war between Ilocanos and Ifugaos, local legislators here and in Ifugao province signed a joint resolution calling their constituents for unity and peace. Officials said reports of previous series of killings here and in Ifugao have been irresponsibly attributed to a tribal war between the Ilocanos and Ifugaos by some of the local broadcast media and via text messaging. Nueva Vizcaya Vice Gov. Lambert Galima Jr. said Joint Resolution 2014-190 was signed by both provincial board members of the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and Ifugao calling for peace and rule of law.
