• Vizcaya to provide free medicines

BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya: In a move to make medicines readily available anytime in the government-owned hospital here, a P50,000 monthly petty cash was earmarked to be availed by poor patients for the next three years. Governor Carlos Padilla made the assurance during a dialogue with officials and medical staff of Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital (NVPH), amid reports of medicines shortage affecting indigent patients in the province. Meanwhile, private wards that benefit mostly private medical practitioners prompted Padilla to reconsider abolishing and transforming them into pay wards to afford patients from all walks of life.
