• Volcanoes seek Asian rugby crown


    The Philippine Volcanoes set out to win the Asian Rugby Championship Division 1 crown, hoping to bank on homefield advantage and crowd support to strike gold in the four-nation meet slated May 6 and 9 at the new Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan. The top-ranked team in the competition, the Volcanoes battle the Singaporeans on opening day at 4 p.m. while Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan mix it up at 2 p.m. Winners in the opening day will advance to the championship match set three days later while the losers will dispute bronze.
