VOLKSWAGEN said it had considered the Philippine market when it engineered its product lineup for the country, which includes turbo-charged SUVs and MPVs. The carmaker noted that it is “introducing new measures that will win the hearts of car enthusiasts and discerning consumers,” as well as technological innovations, as the VW brand returns to the Philippines.
VW said its initial local lineup is powered by torque-rich Turbo Direct Injection (TDI) engines, which maximize power while limiting fuel consumption.
Besides turbo-charging, VW said it leads the way in other technological advancements such as electronic stabilization program, dual clutch gearbox and intelligent adaptive chassis control function in the VW Touareg, which offers drivers different programs to suit their needs—Sport, Normal or Comfort.
“Volkswagen vehicles that we are offering have everything that Filipino drivers are looking for—high pulling power, fuel efficiency and environment-friendly traits. But don’t just take my word for it; try it out for yourselves. Visit our showroom, request for a test drive, and take these machine marvels for a spin,” said JP Orbeta, president of Automobile Central Enterprise Inc., the official importer of Volkswagen in the Philippines.
VW’s present lineup in its local showroom is composed of the Touran 2.0 TDI, Tiguan 2.0 TDI and Touareg V6 TDI.
Volkswagen’s local showroom is located at 28th Street, City Center, Bonifacio Global City. It is open Mondays to Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, log on to www.volkswagen.com.ph or e-mail email@example.com.
