LAKE LOUISE, Canada: Reigning Olympic downhill champion Lindsey Vonn was pleased with her first official training run since February as she placed 22nd in a World Cup downhill practice session on Wednesday. Vonn completed the 3,067-meter course at Canada’s Lake Louise in 1:59.53 in cold and sunny conditions just two weeks after a fall in a private training run that has jeopardized her comeback attempt from knee surgery. The 29-year-old says she is confident she will be able to ski in February at the Sochi Winter Olympics despite tearing a right knee ligament last month, reinjuring the same knee that was operated on last February after a fall at the World Championships in Austria.
