• Voter listing brought to Robinsons branches

Mall goers will have no reason not to register and have their biometric data captured as the Commis- sion on Elections (Comelec) brings voter registration to some select Robinsons Malls in Metro Manila today.

Comelec spokesman James Jimenez on Friday urged qualified voters who will be going to Robinsons Malls branches “to take the opportunity to register and have their biometric data captured.”

He said voter registration booths at the branches will run from September 6, 2014 to October 15, 2015.

On August 18, the Comelec and the Robinsons Land Corp. signed a memorandum of agreement aiming to enlist the 9.6-million registered voters who still have no biometrics and the targeted 56 million total re-gistered voters before the 2016 presidential elections.

The voter registration, which will start at 10 a.m. and end at 5 p.m., will be held at Robinsons Place Manila, Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas (Pasig City), Ro-binsons Metro East (also Pasig City) and Forum Robinsons in Mandaluyong City.

It will be kicked off by the Comelec and representatives from Robinsons Land Corp.

Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. will grace the launch at Robinsons Place Manila.

Commissioners Lucenito Tagle, Elias Yusoph and Al Parreno will be at Robinsons Galleria; Commissioner Luie Guia at Robinsons Metro East; and Commissioner Christian Robert Lim, at the Forum Robinsons.
