VICE President Jejomar Binay on Wednesday denied reports that he has a serious medical problem and that he is undergoing dialysis.
Binay, who publicly declared his intention to run for the 2016 presidential elections, just shrugged off rumors that he is suffering from diabetes.
At the same time, the vice president dared his critics to join him in brisk walking for one and a half hours
“I am inviting you to accompany me in my exercise or brisk walking for 1.5 hours to prove that I am healthy,” he told a television interview.
He described the reports as mere “rumor” meant to destroy his image.
On reports that he is undergoing dialysis, Binay said this could be easily checked.
“Those who are undergoing dialysis have marks of injections in their hands. You just check my hands if I have these signs,” he added.
He suspected his political rivals as behind the negative reports against him because of his declaration to run for the next presidential elections.
Binay is set to launch his own political party, which will carry his presidential bid, on June 12 alongside with the celebration of the Philippine Independence Day.
