Vice President Jejomar Binay has again warned the public against persons offering scholarships from the Office of the Vice President (OVP) in exchange for money.
Let us not be victimized by unscrupulous persons out to steal out hard-earned money,” Binay said.
He issued this warning after he received reports that a Teresita Gesta of H-World Divine Fellowship Inc. is using his name to solicit money in exchange for scholarship grants.
According to reports, Gesta is posing as a coordinator with the OVP and is going from house to house in Tanauan, Batangas to offer scholarship grants in exchange for P1,000.
“We do not ask anything in return for our scholarship grants. More important, our office does not have coordinators who offer scholarships,” Binay said.
“Those who want to apply for scholarship grants can go directly to our office or send the requirements via mail,” he added.
