LOCAL government units (LGUs) in parts of Luzon suspended classes on Tuesday because of the possible threat of floods caused by heavy rain.

This comes after the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Typhoon “Gardo” (international name: Maria) would enhance the southwest monsoon, which will bring light to moderate rains over Luzon and the Visayas.
